Installation
wget -O - http://debian.neo4j.org/neotechnology.gpg.key | apt-key add - echo 'deb http://debian.neo4j.org/repo stable/' > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neo4j.list apt-get update apt-get install neo4j service neo4j-service status
Configuration
Enable remote acess
- edit: /etc/neo4j/neo4j-server.properties
Uncomment:
org.neo4j.server.webserver.address=0.0.0.0
Disable running neo4j at startup
- Run:
sysv-rc-conf
- Search for:
neo4j-server [] [X] [X] [X] [X] [] [] []
- Unmark active runlevels
Neo4j and MongoDB
- Neo4 j must be running, if authentication is enabled, we need to set NEO4J_AUTH
export NEO4J_AUTH=user:password
- Make sure you are runing a replica of your MongoDB, To start a replica start MongoDB with:
mongod --replSet myDevReplSet
- Open mongo and run:
rs.initiate()
- Start the mongo-connector:
mongo-connector -m localhost:27017 -t http://localhost:7474/db/data -d neo4j_doc_manager
-m provides the MongoDB endpoint, -t specifies the Neo4j endpoint -d specifies Neo4j doc Manager as the doc manager
