Will output the system date-time

To set new date

$ date -s "2 OCT 2006 18:00:00"

or:

$ date +%Y%m%d -s "20081128"

Set part of the date

date -s "2014-12-25 $(date +%H:%M:%S)"

To set new time

$ date +%T -s "10:13:13"

To use AM or PM

$ date +%T%p -s "6:10:30AM"
